War (2019) – Movie Review

War is an action thriller film directed by Siddharth Anand. The film stars Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles. This film is like a dream come true for Tiger, as he looks at Hrithik as his idol in the Bollywood industry.

The film centers around a simple plot – When Kabir (Hrithik Roshan), an Indian RAW agent, goes rogue; Then his former pupil Kahlid (Tiger Shroff) has been assigned with a task to eliminate him, and the cat-and-mouse chase (war) begins. Now, Why Kabir has gone rogue? What is his plan? Will Khalid be able to stop him? Answers to all these questions form the rest of the film.

The best part of the film is its action sequences and the leads who are part of those. This film will make you remember Bond and Mission Impossible films. The film’s whole focus is on its lead characters, Hrithik and Tiger, which can be seen in its trailers, and exactly that’s what this film delivers, this film is a total action-packed fun treat for their fans. When it comes to Hrithik and Tiger, then there must be at least one dance-off song in the film, and it is there, which has nothing to do with the story, but I must say, I enjoyed it anyway. As it is a spy thriller film, it’s been shot in different countries at exotic locations with beautiful camera-work. The film has a weaker storyline with many notable plot holes and unnecessary subplots. But, some of the twists and turns were good and worked for me; And that way, the film was able to keep some suspense factor alive till the end.

verdict : 3.4/5

Rating : It is a mindless popcorn action and a worth-watching film.
